First Light
Vinyl LP · 2024 · Ten songs
Ten intimate fingerstyle songs recorded in a cabin in the Cascade foothills — quiet meditations on early mornings, ordinary light, and starting over. Pressed on 140g amber vinyl with a lyric insert.
About this record
Written across one winter in a borrowed cabin with no television and a woodstove that never quite behaved, First Light is about beginnings — the small, unglamorous kind. A kettle boiled. A curtain drawn. A decision made before sunrise.
Every track was cut live to tape in two or three takes, guitar and voice in the same room, with the windows cracked so the weather could sit in the background where it belongs.
